Amberly was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio before moving to Atlanta in early 2021 to further pursue her legal career. Amberly attended the University of Cincinnati where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy with a focus on law and ethics, as well as a minor in Anthropology and a Religious Studies certificate. She then went on to obtain her Juris Doctor at NKU’s Salmon P. Chase College of law, before becoming licensed to practice law in the state of Kentucky.
While in school Amberly maintained a number of internships and legal positions, including an externship for a Magistrate Judge in the Southern District of Ohio, a family law internship, and a law clerk position at a creditor’s rights firm for 3+ years. She also participated in a pro bono Small Business clinic, assisting with various legal needs for Startup Companies and other small or nonprofit businesses. Since joining W. Calvin Smith, II, P.C. as an associate, Amberly has been specializing in personal injury and worker’s compensation law.
